Mindoro Island, and in particular Puerto Galera, is a weekend playground for Manila residents, just a short drive along the freeway to the port of Batangas and then a boat hop to Puerto Galera. There are regularly scheduled ferries or you can choose to come across in private charter “banca” . . . don’t forget to watch out for the dolphins.
